DOL Publishes New USERRA Notice Poster

Yesterday, the Department of Labor ("DOL") released an "interim final rule" pertaining to the recently enacted Veterans Benefits Improvement Act, which amended the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act ("USERRA"). The interim rule addresses employers' obligations to provide all employees notice of rights that exist under USERRA and provides a sample notice poster

Employers can meet their notice obligation by posting copies of the DOL's notice in locations customarily used for similar employee notices. Alternatively, employers may provide notice to employees of rights under USERRA via hand delivery, mail or e-mail. We recommend that employers post the required notice in addition to the use any alternative notice procedure.
