The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced that it is seeking the public's input on the Family and Medical Leave Act and its regulations. The Department has issued a Request for Information and "invites interested parties having knowledge of or experience with the FMLA to submit information" relevant to "ascertaining the effectiveness of the current implementing regulations and the Department's administration of the Act."
KZA will compile a list of comments based upon our experiences with the FMLA over the years. You can also submit comments in the following manner: Written comments should be sent to Richard M. Brennan, Senior Regulatory Officer, Wage and Hour Division, Employment Standards Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, Room S-3502, 200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20210. Electronic comments may be submitted by e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Comments of 20 pages or less may be submitted by FAX machine to (202) 693-1432, which is not a toll-free number. Comments should be received by no later than 5:00 p.m., February 2, 2007.
