The Office of the Nevada Labor Commissioner is proposing the adoption of regulations pertaining to Chapter 608 of the Nevada Administrative Code, the regulations which interpret Nevada law on compensation, wages, and hours. Workshops have been scheduled for the following times and locations:
January 22, 2007 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Gaming Control Board Board Room Sawyer Building, Second Floor 555 E. Washington Ave. Las Vegas, Nevada 89101 January 25, 2007 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Nevadan Hotel (CalNeva) 133 N. Virginia St. Third Floor Reno, Nevada
The purpose of the workshops is to solicit comments from interested persons on the following general topics that may be addressed in the proposed regulations:
- minimum wage;
- exemptions for executive and managerial employees;
- tip pooling and discounting;
- payment for sleep time; and
- any other relevant items that members of the public suggest should be considered in a proposed regulation.
