Volume 16, Issue 12
June 29 , 2017

The 79th (2017) Session of the Nevada Legislature began on February 6, 2017 and adjourned on June 6, 2017. Several new employment laws were enacted and many changes were made to existing labor and employment laws. In our last two issues, we outlined the new Pregnant Workers' Fairness Act, as well as new laws impacting nursing mothers and noncompetition agreements. In this issue, you will find a summary of a few of the other bills passed by the Legislature that affect Nevada labor and employment laws as well as a summary of key labor and employment related bills that were vetoed by the Governor.

The Legislature will meet again in February 2019, unless a special session is called in the interim.
