Three bills passed by the Nevada Legislature and signed into law this year by Governor Sandoval add a new protected category in employment (Assembly Bill No. 211), businesses offering services to the public (Senate Bill No. 331), and housing (Senate Bill No. 368). These laws became effective as of October 1, 2011.

English and
Spanish, which add “gender identity or expression” to the list of characteristics protected from discrimination. Employers can also purchase all-in-one posters from various commercial suppliers.
