Volume 15, Issue 10
June 2, 2016
The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced significant changes designed to broaden the number of employees who will now be eligible for overtime compensation. As a result of these changes, all employers need to understand how they impact their workforce and the steps which must be taken to comply by the December 1, 2016 effective date.
In this Management Workshop, we will detail these changes and strategies for employer compliance. We will also discuss many other important wage and hour issues governed by federal and Nevada law. Some of the topics to be covered include: the proper classification of employees as exempt vs. non-exempt, minimum wage, overtime, volunteers/interns, tip pooling, recordkeeping and the explosive growth of class/collective action litigation against employers.
This Workshop is complimentary for all current KZA clients and available to non-clients for a nominal, prepaid registration fee of $25.00. Lunch will be provided.
This will be a popular program, so please register early as seating is limited.
